Great scary book for kids just starting to read chapter books. There are spooky supernatural forces and real life kids fears combined in this book. There is a lot of humor too, so kids can learn to laugh at their fears. Because it is a series book, kids can benefit from the reading comprehension benefits that series books offer new readers.

Fun and accessible. A nice mix of humor with horror, text with illustrations and unusual formatting, and relatability with silliness. A very good series to recommend to those just getting into chapter books.

Cute first part of a series about weird monsters that are found in this town. It would be a good book for 3rd graders. Boy main characters. Suspenseful.
