SummaryAdd a Summary
Callie, a young widow, makes a temporary move to Shipshewana to settle the estate of her elderly aunt. In the process of readying her aunt's quilt shop for sale, she reluctantly allows her life to become entwined with the locals, Amish and English alike. During the short time she has been in Shipshewana, she has inherited her aunt's dog, made a short business contract with three Amish quilters and slowly lowered the protective walls she had built around herself. She has also caught the eye of several single gentlemen. Unfortunately she also comes to the attention of the police after tales of her threats to a local newspaper editor come to light after his murder. Becoming the prime suspect, Callie realizes, after several merchant break-ins, that the murderer is still among them and looking for the item he murdered the editor for. Unable to convince the police of the seriousness of her theory, she sets out to solve the crime with the help of her new Amish friends.
