Hillary Rodham Clinton is a polarizing figure in American politics. Love her or hate her, everyone has a strong opinion about the former first lady turned senator who is almost certainly going to run for president in 2008. Despite more than a dozen years in the national spotlight and more than a dozen unauthorized books about her, she has managed to keep many secrets from the public - especially about her turbulent marriage and its impact on her career. There have been plenty of rumors about what Hillary and Bill Clinton did behind closed doors, but never a definitive book that exposes the truth.

Bestselling author Edward Klein draws on rare access to inside sources to reveal what Hillary knew and when she knew it during her years as first lady, especially during her husband s impeachment. Klein s book will break news about the choices and calculations she has made over the years.

Complete garbage.

Junk. No scholarship. No facts. Written for a political bias and for those too lazy to actually read about this subject. It just feeds into what was already believed before the book was opened.

Klein's 2005 review of Hillary. Lesbianism, megalomania, violent temper, bad language, lying, radicalism, hatred of police. Theft of White House furniture. Shady fundraising. $8 million book advance while voting on communications issues. Health care debacle. More government intrusion in childrearing.
--- Image change from raw, smelly, hairy-legged hippie to dyed, Botoxed, thickly made-up warhawk. Marriage and child for political image? Charade of hurt feelings over Bill's "bimbos".
--- Family motto: "Better to get caught trying than not to try at all."
--- Are Klein's charges unfair? I can believe he relies on accounts of observers. The allegations of graft in CLINTON CASH are far worse. Hillary's plans for sweeping government expansion were reaffirmed in her 2016 book STRONGER TOGETHER. Hillary mentions the "better to get caught" rule in one of her books, probably HARD CHOICES.
--- I would not dismiss any charge of radicalism as too farfetched. A few years back, no one thought homosexual marriage would be imposed throughout the land and Christians prosecuted for refusing to participate. Yet that is the present reality, and Hillary supports it.
--- Note the typical Clintonite vulture-retorts posted above (2/4/2017 & 2/5/2017) right after this comment, and the robotic "likes" -- all by little gnats poised to fly at any substantial critique of their tattered, discredited heroine.

First, I'd like to say that I am American and if I had to choose a party it would be the Democratic Party. Having said that, I have never liked Hillary. I think she lacks integrity and plays fast and loose with the rules. She and her husband have always make the rules fit them, although I don't think they're quite as bad as the murderous power hungry couple on House of Cards.

But if I don't like Hillary, I do respect her long history of service, devotion, and brilliance whereas Edward Klein despises her. And I don't understand people who write biographies about people they hate because Klein clearly hates Obama as well (Blood Feud). He thinks Hillary has some radical left-wing agenda which sounds much more like Bernie Sanders than HRC.

I have very mixed feelings about this book because part of it was very interesting and well researched but it was mixed with so many untruths that I didn't know what to believe in the end. Klein could still have painted an unpleasant portrait of HRC without having to embellish and lie. And, watch out, people. Hillary Clinton could be the next president. It sure looks like she will be so it would be nice to read some fair and balanced biographies.

From: ... ..... Criticism: Klein has been criticized for his biography of Hillary Clinton, titled, “The Truth About Hillary : What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President”, which was released on June 21, 2005. Politico criticized the book for "serious factual errors, truncated and distorted quotes and overall themes [that] don't gibe with any other serious accounts of Clinton's life."
The book was attacked not only by liberals, but by conservatives as well. John Podhoretz wrote in the New York Post, "Thirty pages into it, I wanted to take a shower. Sixty pages into it, I wanted to be decontaminated. And 200 pages into it, I wanted someone to drive stakes through my eyes so I wouldn't have to suffer through another word."
In National Review James Geraghty wrote, “Folks, there are plenty of arguments against Hillary Clinton, her policies, her views, her proposals, and her philosophies. This stuff ain’t it. Nobody on the right, left, or center ought to stoop to this level.”
